Cothi Cottage
Three of us stayed in Cothi Cottage from 12-19th May and had a lovely time. The cottage is very well presented with two good-sized rooms (one with 2 single beds), separate bathroom / toilet and a wonderful lounge / dining / kitchen space which manages to be very roomy but still cosy. We were lucky with the weather and made good use of the outdoor space, which has a small patio with table and a lawn. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Yvonne (the host) lives next door and popped round a couple of times to check that we had all we wanted. She was also able to provide some recommendations for places to eat. Regarding catering, it’s worth stocking up on any essentials before arriving (Newcastle Emlyn has a Co-op and Cenarth has a small shop) as Penwern is a rural location and it’s a car trip if you need to get groceries. We loved visiting the West Wales coast and did some beautiful walks along the coastal trail. St Davids, with its Cathedral is worth a visit, being the smallest city in Britain, as is Aberporth for a quiet beach and lovely sea views. May 2023
A really fabulous cottage, a little way from the town, but the peace and tranquillity was so worth the short drive to the shops and beaches. On the subject of beaches, they were some of the finest in Britain!!!! Wow!!!! So beautiful and not too far from cottage. As for the hosts, they were amazing Very friendly and so incredibly welcoming and helpful. So summing up, if you want to stay in this part of Wales, this is the place to book we will be back to stay!!! June 2023
Cych Cottage
From Cleanliness to value for money all 5* When you think to have a glass of water on the side table and there is already a glass mat. Or any kitchen accessories what you think of for pizza or bottle opener. Lovely set for family of four and when we had a family dinner all could fit with my sister’s family. I am still in love of the morning walk down the valley with my four legged. Overall it is an amazing place! When you put the address in the Google map don’t have mistaken with Fach not Farm. As we drove in the dark 24min extra just to get there and back to the Cottage. April 2023
We booked Cych and Towy together for our Christmas break for 10 people ranging from 21 to 88 yrs old. Yvonne and her family went the extra mile to decorate the cottages beautifully and giving us an extra table to allow all of us to eat together. The bonus of the games room for the younger ones was fab. Both cottages were well appointed. We took along a lot of extra stuff to make life easier but much of it was not required. We did not realise that our dogs could not go upstairs which was a bit sad although understandable. Other than that our holiday was amazing. December 2023
Hirwaun Cottage
Excellent. We have had a lovely week, we really liked the cottage. Everything was clean and accessible. Thank you for the perfect holiday. June 2023
Five Stars! What a wonderful week we have all had. Hirwaun Cottage is immaculate, we have had everything we could have possibly needed for our self catering family holiday. Fantastic location! We will see you again in the close future. Thank you for a fabulous stay. August 2023
Towy Cottage
We booked Cych and Towy together for our Christmas break for 10 people ranging from 21 to 88 yrs old. Yvonne and her family went the extra mile to decorate the cottages beautifully and giving us an extra table to allow all of us to eat together. The bonus of the games room for the younger ones was fab. Both cottages were well appointed. We took along a lot of extra stuff to make life easier but much of it was not required. December 2023
Beautiful, well-equipped and clean accommodation with great facilities for the children with the games room and outdoor play equipment. Good location to easily access the sites of historical interest and the stunning coastline. We are already considering out next visit. August 2023
Gwaun Cottage
Another wonderful visit to Gwaun Cottage. The cottage was renovated and extended a few years ago, making this a perfect couples retreat. Dog friendly and our Border Collie is very relaxed as soon as we arrive. Well located and within easy reach of Cardigan, Poppit Sands and Newcastle Emlyn. Can recommend Poppit Sands as a very big, dog friendly, beach. Can also recommend Priory Cafe in Cardigan and Harrisons Bistro in Newcastle Emlyn which both serve excellent food and are dog friendly. The welcome at the cottage by Yvonne and Howell is always great. They live on site so are convenient if needed but that’s unlikely as everything is provided in the cottages. Will be booking again soon. Highly recommended. February 2024
My wife and I stayed for a week in Gwaun with our dog, with the rest of our family in Towy. Despite being a small and peaceful site the owners have equipped it exceptionally well meaning there was always plenty to keep all generations occupied (football field, table football, pool, giant chess, table tennis, driving range, walks from the gate etc), even when the weather wasn’t so good. The cottages themselves were both clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and responsive both before and during our stay. The site is a short drive down a farm track away from the road, so is very quiet but within easy driving reach of the coast and other towns and villages, with nice sandy beaches (plenty, but not all of which, are dog friendly during summer months) for when the weather improved. Teifi Cottage
Thoroughly enjoyable stay in Teifi cottage. Clean, comfortable, and excellent with communication owner throughout. Location great for exploring the local coast, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Would definitely return. April 2024
We enjoyed our short break at Penwern Fach. All cottages are so clean and comfortable with parking outside cottages. It is very peaceful there but near lots of lovely places to visit. We hope to return next year. October 2023
