Below is a general access statement for Penwern Fach. In addition, each cottage has a detailed access statement which can be read using the links above.
- Penwernfach Cottage complex consists of five cottages, which have been converted from the original farm outbuildings.
- Some of the accommodation may not suitable for disabled visitors due to the nature of the original buildings.
- The cottages are located in approximately ten acres of grounds consisting of garden, open lawned space, golf driving range and rough pasture.
- Of the five cottages, two are detached and the further three form a terrace.
- The lane from the council road to the cottages is an untarmaced bridle path and does not have a separate pathway/pavement.
- Entrance to the guest car park is clearly signed – the car park itself is level and gravelled.
- All pathways are either slate slab, concrete or gravelled and are a minimum of 72cm wide.
- The large circular pond is completely surrounded by picket fencing with appropriate safety signage.
- None of the cottages have telephone connections but a pay phone is located on the farmhouse frontage – mobile phone reception is patchy.
- All cottages are fitted with audible smoke detectors.
- All cottages are fitted with fire extinguishers & fire blankets, which are regularly maintained/serviced. Carbon Monoxide detectors are also fitted in cottages with gas connected.
